Whistler is a beautiful place to visit in both summer and winter. Your day begins at your accommodations, and we travel north on the Sea to Sky Highway. Enjoy the incredible views along one of the most visually stunning stretches of road in the entire country. A stop at Shannon Falls, one of BC’s tallest, is on the itinerary. Once we’ve been suitably awed, we’ll continue north and arrive in Whistler.
Enjoy free time to visit Lost Lake, have lunch, or travel up the mountain and experience the awe and wonder of the Peak to Peak Gondola, the longest unsupported span and the highest cable car above ground in the world. If lunch with a view over the stunning Whistler Valley (and perhaps some light hiking) appeals to you, then a day in Whistler is perfect.
Our return trip will have us stopping at the Tantalus Range view point for amazing pictures of the Squamish River Valley, before returning to Vancouver. As the sun sets quite late during the summer, consider a later start for your day in order to take advantage of the amazing sunsets.
